About Me…I am addicted to fashion. For me, fashion is art and art is life. Moreover, fashion is a visual history that records and reflects the political, cultural and social zeitgeist. It incorporates art, music, film, architecture, theater and more, allowing for endless creativity and interpretation. I love the fast and furious fashion cycle. Every day brings new trends, designers, collaborations, stores and news. I am always watching, researching, listening and learning. For the past 13 years, I have worked in various aspects of the New York fashion industry. At The New York Times, I interned for former Fashion Editor Amy Spindler and former Fashion Director Anne Christensen, which led to writing assignments for WWD, V Magazine, Style.com, The New York Times and The Washington Post. I’ve also been lucky enough to work with amazing designers like Zac Posen and renowned editors like David Girhammer of Pop and Diane Pernet of A Shaded View on Fashion, and I am a member of both the Couture Council of the Museum at FIT and All Walks Beyond the Catwalk. These valuable experiences allowed me to cultivate the comprehensive skill set that I now apply to my true passion: Personal Styling. Starting off in editorial, I styled models and celebrities for publications like The New York Times and Salon News (a former Fairchild publication). Numerous shoots and several fashion and art publications later, I landed a job styling “real people” as a personal shopper for Bloomingdales and Henri Bendel. After realizing that I couldn’t fulfill my clients’ needs at just one store, I made the decision to branch out on my own. My unique styling philosophy tears down fashion myths and embraces all ages, shapes and sizes. Whether you shop at Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman or J. Crew, I can find the most fabulous and flattering fashion styles suited to your lifestyle, body and personality — signature statements that celebrate YOU! It’s Your Life.Styled. |
